Knowledge is King is an investigative, innovative, part-opensource based new media project.

It’s Aim:

  • Create rich interactive new media that explores and promotes education and action inspired by the need and by the possibility of a fairer, more educated, more sharing, sustainable world.
  • Be independent, have integrity and strongly correlate what is said with what is done.
  • Promote open source methodologies in production.

The Plan, My Man:

  • Research and interview knowledgeable and admirable people.
  • Licence some of the project footage under CC BY 3.0 (so anyone is free to use and edit in their own projects).
  • Present in interactive, easy-to-understand, innovative, rich form.

Driving Beliefs:

  • Change can only be achieved through peaceful means. We must rehumanise not dehumanise. We must be the change we want to see in the world.
  • We already have the means and the resources to create a sustainable planet with enough vital resources (food, water, shelter, education, carers, love) to go round for everyone.
  • You always have a choice. Whatever the repercussions, they do not remove the fact that you always have a choice.
  • There are good forces at work.
  • We are living in very interesting times.
  • The future is not written in stone.
  • Time travel will probably be possible in the future hence all those UFOs are probably just humans from the future or something :) and we should focus on things we have the current means to quantify and change instead.
  • If you’re a skeptic over our ability to rehumanise and stop future wars you deserve the support of the rest of us to pick you up and prove you wrong.

The website:

The website is powered by the extremely powerful, easy-to-use publishing platform WordPress that anyone with an unrestricted internet connection and some free time can use for free. Start a blog yourself in less than a minute here. The sidebars are automatically populated by RSS feeds from deli.icio.us, the excellent easy-to-use feature rich online bookmarking service.
